My respect and admiration goes out to military wives who choose to be pregnant/give birth while their spouses are deployed, constantly traveling, et cetera. I could never see myself as one of these women because, as a military member myself, I saw the anger and frustration many of my friends who are spouses felt as a result of being the spouse left behind...many women really do put all their dreams on hold or never experience them fully. Other women truly are happy. They bask in their roles and go the extra mile to help other spouses cope, and become geniuses at pinching pennies. Either way, I thank God for them. They deserve more than flowery thanks and a bouquet at a retirement speech. They deserve thanks every day!
