My sincere congratulations to GMB for winning the APC primaries. - TopicsExpress

My sincere congratulations to GMB for winning the APC primaries. As far as I am concerned, GMB is the best man in the APC race and he is a better choice between the two( GMB and GEJ) running the race to Aso Rock in 2015.This is assuming that the 2015 election holds and assuming further that we will be able to manage the outcome of the 2015 judging by the extent of the ethno-religious polarization of the polity. That said, I have to sincerely congratulate Alhaji Abubakar Atiku for conceding defeat to GMB as the concession speech below indicates. God bless Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. I am very impressed and deeply touched by the contents of Alhaji Abubakars concession speech. I am hoping that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar will stand by the spirit and content of this concession speech in the days ahead so that the likes of former Governor Fayemi and APC, Abubakars party would be able to learn one or two things on how to remain a true democrat in defeat especially when results of elections do not go our way. It is with this in mind that I hereby declare Alhaji Atiku Abubakar the 2014 hero of democracy and the quintessential ambassador of democracy within the APC clan. I say this about Alhaji Abubakar Atiku not because he is perfect. He is not. As a matter of fact, I would not have voted for him if I was a delegate. My vote would have gone for GMB. My respect and praise for Atiku is essentially borne out of the way he managed the campaign of calumny against his person both from OBJ through his satanic book which was deliberately launched a day before the APC primaries and the litany of allegations against Atiku for dollarizing the APC primaries even when it was clear that both Atiku and GMB doled money out to the shameless cash and carry APC delegates directly or through proxies(APC Governors) at the APC convention venue. We will revisit this duplicity and pretense at a latter date in the hope that we will be able to properly confront the challenges of over monetization of the Nigerian polity. At this stage, I will rather join millions of Nigerians in congratulating GMB, APC, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku and the other contestants for holding a successful primaries even as I insist that the difference between APC and PDP remains the difference between six and half a dozen which is informing my deep seated conviction that neither PDP nor APC as presently constituted has what is required to liberate Nigeria and her citizens from poverty, disease, insecurity and dearth of visionary and purposeful leadership without first and foremost frontally confronting Nigerias dysfunctional federal arrangement and institutional decay
