My son Michael sent me a text and told me to google Eric Clapton and the song Wah Wah. He asked me how all these drummers could stay in sync so well. I went to youtube/watch?v=Ddz6GT8810w and watched this video. There are about 5 or 6 drummers in this video. I watched it several times and came to the following conclusion,. I texted him back with 1. If you notice, everyone is keeping the same main beat all the time with different stick rhythms on the cymbals. 2. Only one drummer at a time is doing the fills and everyone else keeps the basic beat going 3. With all the talent that is on this stage for this show, I am like WOW. Paul McCartney is on the piano for one. so my only conclusion as to the drummers is 3. These guys are top notch drummers. Not just someone who they grabbed just to fill a spot. These guys are the most in pocket percussionist and if asked to learn a whole choreographed drum routine for this song to include the fills that are scripted, they could all do this together and make it sound like one drummer. Sadly I will never ever be this good. 4. This is one heck of a fun song and I bet these guys had a blast performing it with Mr. E.C. Hope you enjoy the video as much as I did.
