My son was diagnosed at 13, just two weeks shy of his 14th birthday. Stage 4, aka stage 3c. We were told he was inoperable after 3 months of chemo because the tumors were not responding to treatment and if he were to have surgery, hed have a very poor quality of life. Not true! Seven surgeries and 3 more cycles of chemo, Jordan is a survivor today. He was also the starting defensive lineman his senior year of high school football. Jordan will be celebrating his 21st birthday next month. We are now able to help bring greater awareness to this disease through the Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation which I formed almost 5 years October 9, 2009. I did NOT know that testicular cancer could strike at such an early age, nor at any age?? Awareness and early detection are KEY!!
