My surgery is scheduled for Wed. at Pennsylvania Hospital. Yes, day before Thanksgiving. Tuesday night, Claudia Veronica Richard, Taylor Forbes and I will be staying in one of the hotels the hospital referred at a discounted rate for patients out of town. This will be great so we do not need to travel super early the day of surgery. The surgery will be more extensive with full up and down incision. They will remove any hernias since there is a chance there is a string of them not just one. They will make sure there are no other surprises throughout the abdomen. Anything they see they will remove or fix and place in a mesh wall. Scar tissue will be removed and drainage tubes placed in which will accompany me home. I will stay in the hospital overnight and if all goes well, be released Thanksgiving Day and start the process of recovery. Please keep my family in prayers as well as Claudia who will continue to care for me before and after the holiday. Yesterday all I could think of is the hole in my yard and the best options to complete handicapping a safe area to get in my house through the winter and down the road. Now I get to worry about the hole in my body. Im thinking I just saved a small turkeys life since I wont be eating. I know this is disappointing many that had hoped to see us for the holiday and I love you all. I do not love all the stuffing or suffering inside. Thank you in advance for prayers.
