My sweet, brave, free spirited, adventurous sister-in-law Emma - TopicsExpress

My sweet, brave, free spirited, adventurous sister-in-law Emma Kate Tichenor is gone. I cant find any words to express this pain. To my mother in law Beth DiCara and father in law John Tichenor and for my sweet husband James Tichenor it is far too much, but know that you all helped formed this wonderful daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend. I was fortunate enough to watch Emma grow and change and blossom into a wonderful woman. A woman devoted to caring for animals and the earth and all those around her. Emma was calm and still and fiery and passionate, this loss is a whole in me that I will attempt to fill with memories and love and hope to make sense of this all. Emma Kate was born in Jersey City, NJ, on January 1, 1990. She was the daughter of Elizabeth DiCara and John Tichenor, both of Jersey City. After all her travels she returned to Nova Scotia, her home away from home. Emma worked as a research biologist, studying coyotes, through Acadia University in Wolfville, at the Department of Natural Resources. In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, James Tichenor, his wife Stephanie, and their daughter Juniper of Seattle, Washington, and her grandfather, Philip DiCara of Glastonbury, Connecticut. She leaves loving cousins Cody DiCara, Daniel Rearick; Andrew and Brian Tichenor; Sheila, Kevin, and Catherine Macken, as well as scores of friends who were blessed to have known her.
