My tribalism is not so much an ideology or "belief system". It is not simply a matter of belief and opinion. It is a matter of what works in the "real world", where things actually happen and is independently verifiable. My tribalism is a group of methods and customs which have the result of boosting health on every level, for the currently living generations, and in the transmission of the bloodline and the family culture to future generations. The customs also have the effect of boosting the health of the individual, reducing suffering, increasing life-satisfaction and prolonging life. But the individual may choose to perish in an altruistic or heroic act, sacrificing himself so that his as a whole family may survive, and that may be a wise choice. As well, individuals cannot stay among the living forever: all who live must die, even if of old age, in order to give future generations the opportunity of existence. The emphasis is not really on the individual, who is inevitably perishable, but rather upon the whole community of the living as it, like a tumbling brook, passes down the generations.
