My two cents. If you are organizing an event or promoting - TopicsExpress

My two cents. If you are organizing an event or promoting something or even doing charity work, do not rely on YOUR POSTS ON FACEBOOK to get the word out. For example (and please do not take any offense or take this in a negative way; maybe the problem is me) I didnt even know who Michael Brooks Jimenez was, I barely found out there was a Hispanic Halloween Festival, didnt know that my little cousin was a semi-finalist on Tengo Talento Mucho Talento and was raising funds, and so many more POSTS. If you are organizing an event, do the leg work and get in touch with the humble people. I feel I am the humblest as they come and I do not get any of this information. Maybe its the idea of relying on social media and thinking LIKES means message received. Lets get back to our old ways and stay in touch, not just stay online. Make a call, send a text, or stop by and visit with your target audience. This will get the word out with potential attendees better than an event invite on social media and seeing a probably group of attendees because they marked going. Follow up on those who you think are potentials. Just a thought.
