My wife Christine, can be a bit mean at times. If you lived with my crazy ass, you would be as well. So dont judge. When you enter the Maine homestead from the side entrance, ( which is the one we all use), Dan & Sue live on the ground floor. Christine & I live on the second floor. Both doors on this side, enter the kitchens. So when I come home at night, and walk in, I am bombarded with the smell of food cooking. I have learned that if the first thing I smell fades as I walk upstairs, it is their supper. But if it gets stronger as I come up the stairs, its for me. So today was a cold, snowy, then rainy Monday from hell. I walk in the hallway and all I can smell is warm cake. My heart flutters a little, (dont a fat-kid love cake). Easy turbo,.I think. It may be Dans. But as I walk up the stairs, it gets stronger and stronger. YES, I think, Im IN..... so I walk into our kitchen, and go in to full CSI mode. I look at the oven. Nothing. I look on the counter. Nothing. I even look in the fridge. Perhaps the frosting needed to be cooled. Nothing. So I finally break down and ask chris, where is the cake? She laughed and says look honey, I got a new scentsy candle called vanilla cake. Do you like it? Oh yes, honey, I love it..... grrrrr.....
