My wife and I dined at Promontory in Hyde Park this past Friday. I enjoyed my Coq Au Vin and my wife enjoyed the sea bass. We both enjoyed our desserts of Neapolitan ice cream sandwich and Baked Alaska. The negatives were the proximity of the tables and diners. We sat too close to other patrons and casual conversation is an impossibility. Service was good. The salad and appetizer menus need some tweaking and the drink menu requires expansion. Our meal was around $120 with apps, drinks, dessert and 20% tip. This is a nice space and welcome addition to Hyde Park and I hope it does well.
