My wife just ordered a 4 string Washboard (Cigar Box style) Guitar for me on ebay for Christmas. Im looking forward to playing this acoustic / electric guitar. Im a big fan of open tunings (especially Open G and DADGAD) and will likely tune my washboard guitar to Open G (GDGB is what Ill probably start with - I should be able to rework some of my Open G songs for playing on the washboard guitar). Cant wait to record and post some songs using with this guitar :) This is the closest group that I could find (outside of Open Tuning and Slide Guitar) that seemed appropriate for the washboard guitar.
