My wife suffered with Alzheimers for some 13/14 years. During the early years I managed to care for her on my own. It was a self learning process and at the time I did no have a computer. The time came when she became wheelchair bound I thought it was impossible to keep her at home. From all my experiences of dealing with hospitals, Nursing Homes and all the so called experts, I decided against all advice to take my wife home and care for her on my own. Yes she was bedridden, could no longer speak, had bad pressure sores and rigidity had set in. Told she was dying I still rejected offers of help and surprised many with the transformation in my wifes physical condition. It was not the first time in my life that I was told something was impossible. On reflection I now understand how and why it is impossible for most people to care 24/7, 365 days year on year. As a result I have written our story complete with photos and medical records to prove my point; you dont have to be an expert. lulu/content/e-book/alzhiemers-care---my- way/14430988 lulu/content/paperback-book/alzheimers-care-my- way/14399564 You can view the E-book and paperback from above.
