#MyEarlyLife_PrimarySchoolDays Chapter 5 Back to my present School.Girls then played ten-ten.That game where they gathered in twos,threes or more and exchanged claps with some lullabies.Bevy of beauties they were.I started becoming playful.Gradually,I was promoted to primary five.By then I had become an average pupil.I was older and taller than most of my classmates.I started feeling inferior to them.Even though,other exact age mates were bullies.I had some friends I would not forget.We played memorable games together. Then Secondary School came calling.Again something unpalatable happened.I could not go.Somehow I had to repeat the class-not because of failure.I did not fail.The following summer lesson then was moody.I lost Grandma. Eventually,it was a blessing in disguise.It was this period a bit of self discovery set in.I could run.I joined the Schools Athletic team.I was also good in Current Affairs.I and one other boy were leading the class in it. It was the days of Boutros Boutros Ghali,Boris Yeltsin and George Bush Snr.Then,Bill Clinton was about campaigning for President.Over here,Nigerias Diego Amando Maradona was holding the reins of Office. We were so good that our class teacher separated us from the class.Especially during General Paper class which was the third major subject after Maths and English.That was what it was then during the Federal and State Common Entrance Examination and the Placement Entrance Examination for State Public Schools. Then came this very beautiful girl in my class. Chapter 6 ....a mixture of beauty and brain very good in Maths and English...a real Cinderella girl.Then I heard my name....and behold it was her.... -MIDE LEE
