M’membe Hammers Sata, “A Dishonest Character Running Public Affairs” After sustained days of editorials virtually insulting finance minister Alexander Chikwanda for the exit of disgraced Lusaka lawyer Wynter Kabimba as justice minister and Patriotic Front Secretary General, Fred M’membe has started to shift his arsenals at President Michael Sata himself. In his editorial of October 23, 2014, M’membe has indirectly accused President Sata of overseeing a corrupt government stating; “Corruption, embezzlement, fraud and outright theft are now rampant everywhere, in all parts of our society, high and low.” M’membe, who until the firing of Kabimba had praised Sata whom he has often referred to as Michael, attacked the Head of State who is receiving medical attention abroad. M’membe says of President Sata, “You take Lungu, who has failed to run a law firm in an honest manner, who has chewed his clients’ money, you make him a minister, a key leader of your party! What message are you sending?” The out-of-favour PF propagandist is conceding that President Sata is dishonest. “Dishonesty is destroying us. But we don’t seem to learn the fact that dishonesty is dangerous to the progress of our nation.
