NAIL POLISH REMOVER IS A GREAT CLEANER AND SPOTTER Acetone nail polish remover makes a wonderful spotter and cleaner if you know how to use it. REMOVING INK STAINS: Remove ink from your hands and even your dryer drum by wiping with nail polish remover. Remember to use it in a well ventilated area. REMOVE PAINT FROM WINDOWS: Instead of scraping paint off of glass, dab on nail-polish remover in small areas. Let it sit to soften the paint and then rub off with a paper towel or rag. If it is stubborn, apply the nail polish remover and then use a razor blade scraper to lift it. DISSOLVE MELTED PLASTIC: Did the bread wrapper get too close to the toaster? Did you melt plastic to your curling iron? It’s easy to remove if you know how. First be sure that you unplug the appliance and let it cool completely. Pour a little nail polish remover on a soft old cloth and gently rub over the damaged areas. Once you have removed all the plastic, wipe with a damp cloth and dry with a paper towel. REMOVE PRICE STICKERS FROM GLASS: Saturate the price sticker with nail polish remover. Let sit a few minutes and then scrape it up with a dull straight edge. Saturate the remaining glue with nail polish remover, let it sit for a few minutes and then rub the glue off. Wash the dish and rinse. You can also use this method on metal containers. DID YOU GLUE YOUR FINGERS TOGETHER WITH SUPER GLUE? Drip nail Polish remover on it, let sit and then gently separate. REMOVE MARKS FROM VINYL SHOES: Vinyl and patent-leather shoes show up every scuff and scrape. To remove the marks rub lightly but quickly with a soft cloth or paper towel dipped in nail polish remover. Wipe shoe with a damp cloth and buff. STAINS ON CHINA: Remove all those stains from years of use from bone china. Rub soiled areas with nail polish remover. Clean difficult spots with a cotton swab dipped in polish remover. Wash the dishes as usual. WORD OF WARNING: Did you know that acetone polish remover can cause dry skin and brittle nails. It is flammable and also hazardous if inhaled for long periods of time. Use in well ventilated areas and if using to clean wear gloves. Acetone polish remover can damage wood, plastics and synthetic fabrics. If in doubt test prior to use. Dispose of paper towels and rags that are saturated with nail polish remover in the ouside trash to avoid breathing the vapors.
