NAME YOUR NEED & NAME YOUR SEED Or, Why You Are Still Not a Millionaire Youve heard it wrongly taught, When you have a need God is looking for your seed. I am not saying that occasionally when you have a need that God wont tell you to do something in faith concerning it. But it is not true that every time you have a need that God is looking for you to plant a financial seed. When you have a need God is looking for you to approach the Throne of Grace with a New Testament verse of Scripture where He promised to meet that need. He expects you to ask Him to meet your need according to that verse of Scripture & in the Name of Jesus. (John 16:23; Hebrews 4:16; 1John 5:14-15) To teach the Body of Christ that every time they have a need they must name your need & name your seed is erroneous. Dr. Hagin addresses this & other make-believe prosperity doctrines in this book. The only time I see God naming His seed in the Bible is when the Angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream & said, ...and thou shalt call His name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21) I am still stunned to this day that 15 years after Brother Hagin wrote this book to correct his spiritual sons & daughters for their extreme prosperity errors, they not only continue to ignore the contents of this book but they arrogantly defend their disobedience. Faith Preachers need to stand up & defend the Biblical contents of this book as opposed to denying it & in some cases arrogantly defying it. God will not be mocked by anyone no matter how successful their Ministry appears to have become as a result of their ability to convince the needy in the Body to throw loads of money at them. God has allowed a certain amount of excess for a certain amount of time in order to bring His people out of a poverty mentality and into a more-than-enough mentality. However, He will not allow such excessive teaching to continue. He expects us to find the balance point, the middle of the road, so to speak & live there. He expects us to understand that although He wants us to be comfortable & to be a good witness to the world of His love & provision, He does not want us to be a poor witness to the world with our own greed & self-indulgence. It is wrong that Jan & Paul Crouch of TBN (now Matthew & Laurie) own six multi-million dollar palatial estates spread out across America. It is wrong that Bible Preachers & Teachers who have programs or are guests on TBN do not confront the Crouches about their abuse & misuse of dollars that God intends to be used for the propagation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. (Of course, this is also true of other TV Networks.) The reason they dont confront the Crouches is because they themselves are in the prosperity ditch on the side of the road & have become quite comfortable living there. Dr. Hagins book The Midas Touch guns down these excessive prosperity gunslingers. We continue to pray for Godly sorrow to be granted to those who came up under Brother Hagin who are either denying or defying this book. (2Corinthians 7:10) We are living in the day of the removal of candlesticks. (Revelation 2:5) Name your need & name your seed Preachers best judge themselves or theyll find themselves being judged like other national WOF Ministries who are presently falling to pieces. (1Corinthians 11:31-32) For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. (1 Timothy 6:10) God has NOT determined that any of His children can at will make themselves millionaires. He has promised only that through faithfulness & obedience that every need will be met & that there will be more than enough for the meeting of every need. In some cases He has determined that some Ministers & non-ministers will become wealthy. However, even in those cases He does not intend for them to live splashed out lifestyles in order to show others how spiritual they are because After all, look at what my faith has done for me. God gives those individuals that kind of wealth for service unto Him, not status among men. Ministers should not live in extravagant homes or drive extravagant vehicles. It offends and injures many. Dr. Kenneth E. Hagin Covetousness, no matter how you slice it, is still not a virtue. Im encouraging every WOF Brother & Sister who has ever called Dr. Kenneth E. Hagin their spiritual father or mentor, to repent for spinning his Faith teachings out of context & misleading others. You really should be ashamed for the confusion & hardship you have caused for so many. Youll answer to Him for that. Its in Dr. Hagins book. Read Dr. Hagins book. Them that sin rebuke before all that others also may fear. (1Timothy 5:20)
