NASA astronaut Barry Wilmore, Soyuz Commander Alexander Samokutyaev and Flight Engineer Elena Serova are in the homestretch of preparations for launch to join their Expedition 41 crewmates aboard the International Space Station. The Soyuz TMA-14M spacecraft carrying the three new crew members will will launch from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on Thursday at 4:25 p.m. EDT (Friday at 2:25 a.m. Kazakh time) to begin a 6-hour, 4-orbit trek to the station. Wilmore, Samokutyaev and Serova will spend nearly six months living and working aboard the orbiting complex.
