NASMO BEC 2013/14 Student body of the University of Zululand, - TopicsExpress

NASMO BEC 2013/14 Student body of the University of Zululand, receive our humble and revolutionary greetings in the name of free and fair re-elections to be contested only by qualified candidates. We are delighted that the University management has declared the latter 2014/15 SRC elections null and void and this was in the best interest of all students that were nearly led by a corrupt representative constituting unqualified personnel. In history, it has never happened before that we have individuals claiming to be SRC members for at least a week. These political MSAWAWA’s should reconsider their options and for political advice it would be of their best interest to form a coalition with CARACARA and resolve with JUJU as the presidential candidate, maybe this time he will get more than 109 votes. It has come to our attention that 1st year NFAS allocation is currently having challenges and this is due to funds being exhausted. Only less than 500 faculty of Education 1st year students have been allocated an amount equal to R9 000 only and other students, including returning students have not been allocated a cent. This has been a result of an agreement made by the former SRC president who is currently the administrator which has led to the suffering of our students. Student should register their despondency to such and make sure that they vote NASMO in the upcoming SRC re-elections. As NASMO, we have submitted our concerns using a memorandum from our mother body (NFP) which will seek to eliminate such corruption and ensure that NSFAS deserving students who have submitted and signed agreement forms do get funding. We ensure all students that this battle will be won according to their interest and it will be taken to court if the management’s response is negative. Hence, we will not rest until all students get funded by NSFAS. Court issue, it is very imperative that students be updated by people who attended the matter at the Durban High court, students must be careful not to be misled by information given at improper platforms like UNIZULU Politics on Facebook where those mockery losers (SASCO) write their discontented feelings. On the 13th of October the court set to hear the matter so as to finalize the interim order, the argument was presented on papers and the court found it just and equitable and it was in the best interest of justice to declare the SRC elections null and void. The court also made an order that the University must announce the date of re-elections which must be held within 30 days from the 16th of September 2014 as entrenched and enshrined in clause 9 of the court order, the court will convene again on the 21st of October 2014 to judiciously deduce this clause nonetheless we can state with great emphasis that through our legal forces, the re-elections will take place before the examination could commence. Room reservation, it has been registered in the mandate that we were given by the students that, a need for a much more vigorous and radical leadership is at stake, NASMO support online booking system because we observe the process as fair, impartial and student friendly however we also advocate that an orientation before system may be activated can be of great necessity because it will assist those students who do not understand how to use this ONLINE ROOM RESERVATION. NASMO dispute the messages which were sent to students that by the 31st of December 2014 you must have R0, 00 balance to have an access to your correctly reserved room, As NASMO we remain constant to our manifesto that the only stage where you may forfeit your rightfully reserved room on reasons of financial constrains is when you pass the stage of financial clearance during registration, we believe that students should be given ample opportunity to settle their debts. NASMO also advocate that 75% percent of the rooms must be reserved for the returning students in the year 2015 and 25% must be reserved for the first years of 2015 because it is reasonable to reserve more rooms for returning student then first year students considering the number of returning students, we definitely dispute the 50/50 rule which was agreed by that mockery SRC of 5 days led by those sarcastic losers (SASCO). We believe that your hearts and minds will manifest your victimization through an honest vote for NASMO; NASMO is the only organization that produces that genuine leadership demanded by the student mass. We wish all of you the best on your exams!
