NC will give unconditional support to PDP, says Rana Saturday, 27 December 2014 04:33 Jammu: ANI Published in Headlines Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) senior leader Devendra Rana says his party is willing to offer the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) unconditional support to form the government, adding that the ball is now in the court of Mufti Mohammed Sayeed. The NC leaders statement came after the PDP emerged as the single largest party in the recently held state assembly elections but fell short of the required number of seats to form the government. The PDP has emerged as the single largest party in this fractured mandate. In order to give a stable government to Jammu and Kashmir, we offer them our complete and unconditional support to form the government, respecting the public mandate, Rana said. We have conveyed this offer to the PDP. Now it is for them to decide, he added. Ranas statement came hours after former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister and NC leader Omar Abdullah refuted a report about him sending a letter, extending support to the PDP for forming the state government. Looks like PDP is playing mind games with the BJP leaking about a letter of NC support that doesnt exist. Only a verbal offer conveyed, he had tweeted. In the assembly elections, the PDP had emerged as the single largest party, securing 28 seats in the five-phased assembly elections, while the BJP bagged 25. The NC, however, won 15 seats.
