NEW THIS WEEK IN INDEPENDENT COMICS: ANGEL AND FAITH, FIELD, SECRET AND MORE! First up is Angel and Faith Season 10 #1, a Dark Horse book, written by Victor Gischler with art by Will Conrad with a cover by Scott Fischer. Angels work is never done. During his most recent world saving, a part of London was transformed and flooded with magic. Who better to watch over this magical community than Angel? At least, thats what he thinks. Meanwhile, Faith starts a new chapter in her life-slaying zompires alongside Buffy?! Also out is Pretty Deadly #5, a book from Image comics, written by Kelly Sue Deconnick with art by Emma Rios. Its the ultimate father-daughter showdown as Ginny faces off against Death himself in the bloody conclusion to PRETTY DEADLYs opening arc. A new series this week is Field #1, another Image book, written by Ed Brisson with art by Simon Roy. A man wakes in a field wearing nothing but his underwear. Hes got no idea who he is or how he got there. His only connection to the outside world is a cell phone that receives mysterious texts warning him of impending danger. Next up is Secret #7, from Image, its written by Jonathan Hickman with art by Ryan Bodenheim. Its taken fifteen years of couples counseling. Forty barrels of ink. Six billion dollars... and a time machine to get to the epic conclusion of SECRET... and HERE IT IS! The death and resurrection of Steadfast. Someone lives. Someone dies. And, of course, someone loses a finger. Last but not least we have Veil #2, a Dark Horse book, written by Greg Rucka with art by Toni Fejzula. A conjuring doesnt work out as planned, and one mans life is in danger . . . but when you have the powers of the devil at your fingertips, how bad can it get?
