NEW YEARS CHALLENGE TO YOU 2014 IS HISTORY OVER Finito Done! Will we shed any tears? As true believers not really as we have survived another year by God’s undeserved grace. We are granted more time to accomplish what he sent us to do. Regardless of the secondary importance those things may have. What is the burning question? The question is not how well we have done financially, how our status has grown - how much we have achieved in the world. The burning question is have we achieved all God’s purposes for us in the establishment and expansion of his eternal kingdom. That question is for each individual disciple of Christ to answer. Undoubtedly none of us will receive full marks. That is a given. BUT how well did you and I do? So instead of asking how good 2015 will be for you personally I have some other questions to consider. How well are you going do in your commission as an ambassador for Christ? How many will hear the gospel form and through you? Directly or indirectly. By giving time, resources or money or through prayer. How many will experience the love of Christ through you? Directly or indirectly. By giving time, resources or money or through prayer. How will you support and be involved in the work of others in full time or part time ministry? Directly or indirectly. By giving time, resources or money or through prayer. How much time are you going to set aside to grow personally to enable you to be more in line with Christ’s will for you? How much personal Bible study (not feel good daily Bible readings or just reading the Bible) are you going to do WITH THE RIGHT MINDSET. How much praying and meditation on God’s Word? How much Bible study with others? You know the score you would probably get for 2014. What will the score be that you get for 2015? Better? Worse? More of the same? Will Jesus say: And he said to him, Well done, good servant! Because you have been faithful in a very little, you shall have authority over ten cities. Luke 19:17
