SPECIAL MASS COLLECTION Sunday, November 17th - This Sunday, as a part of our Matthew 25 fund, we have committed a percentage of our collection to be sent to our school partner Bluebonnet Elementary School in Roundrock, Texas. The collection will be tied to our Thanksgiving dinner school supply collection. In addition, we plan on offering a second collection for anyone who would like to make a donation to the relief efforts going on in the Philippines. Typhoon Haiyan was one of the worst storms of any kind, ever. With sustained winds of 190 mph, gusts over 230mph, and a storm wall of 13-20 ft, there is utter devastation. We kindly ask that you open your hearts and wallets this Sunday in an act of solidarity with the universal Church to help our brothers and sisters in the Philippines. THANKSGIVING DINNER Tuesday, November 19th - On Tuesday November 19th at 6:00pm, we will be hosting the annual Newman Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner!!! We are also collecting school supplies for a 3rd grade class at Bluebonnet Elementary School in Roundrock, Texas. We will need a lot of help to make Thanksgiving a success, if youre interested in helping, please indicate it on the survey or e-mail Kelsey and Zach at hospitality@vtcatholic. Fill out this survey if you are planning on attending- hope to see you there! LETTER PACKING We courteously ask for your assistance in labeling, stuffing, and sorting over 4,000 envelopes next week! (...Thats kind of a lot of envelopes...) These letters are appealing to alumni and parents for their support to help keep all the things you love about Newman funded, such as Sunday Suppers, trips, things like electricity and Wifi, etc. Please sign up to help for an hour or two! https://docs.google/forms/d/1bWhaWWrCVw7vamcfuU6XTA8SQACGSDfkWFI2K6gFs9c/viewform.
