NEWS- Forty -two Public Schools in Georgetown and one on the East Coast of Demerara will remain closed on Thursday, November 28 2013. HOWEVER all other schools will remained opened. Chief Education Officer Olato Sam is also advising all teachers, including those attached to the forty three schools to report for Duty on Thursday. This announcement by the Ministry of Education comes after six hours of heavy rainfall resulting in Flooding leaving Georgetown and its surroundings inundated. The decision to have these schools remain closed comes after the latest weather report from the Hydrometerological Office showed that more rainfall is expected over the next twelve hours.
