NEWS FLASH Received today *****SHOUT OUT ****** Calling all young Dolphin Enthusiasts aged between 11-14 Years living in and around the Inverness/Moray area. Wonderful and Exciting Filming opportunity for CBBC Wild Program from an Isobel Rogers BBC researcher - see below for contact details - Admin Fi (PLEASE USE EMAIL ADDRESS [email protected] for your nominations directly dont leave your nominations on the page - thank you) I wonder if you could help us in finding some young dolphin enthusiasts (aged 11-14) who would like to be involved in the film? Would you be able to put a shout out to your Facebook page? Any interested parents can email us at [email protected] ASAP, with the subject line dolphin film telling us a bit about their childs interest and a contact number and time to call them. Here is a brief on Wild and what were looking for: This is now the second series of Wild, where we travel the UK celebrating its wildlife, landscapes and adventure activities/sport in order to inspire kids to get out in the British outdoors. We plan to film a number of short films over the summer to insert into our live shows, which will broadcast on Saturday mornings during the autumn on CBBC and it is aimed at 6-12 year olds. We’re filming 8 mini films with groups of children such as this one. We also film 6 mini films with presenters taking on a challenge, and 8 mini films focusing on one child who has a real passion for a particular wild species/habitat. All these mini films get cut down to about 4-6 minutes. There are a few films from last year’s show on the CBBC website: bbc.co.uk/cbbc/shows/wild On Wednesday 30th July (or Tuesday 5th August) we will be filming a piece with a group of children at Findhorn, learning about cetacean rescuing with a trained cetacean rescuer and about the wild population with a field officer from the WDCS. We’re looking for a young, passionate wildlife enthusiast from around Inverness and east, who loves dolphins/cetaceans/marine life and wants to bring along 4 friends to this, who wouldnt normally spend their free time outdoors! The premise of this mini-film is a child aged 11-14 who has an interest in a British wildlife and wants to get his/her friends outdoors, to convert them to their hobby. As a great active group for the Moray dolphins, Id really appreciate your help with this! Thanks very much, Isabel Rogers
