NEWS!!!! Tihany is owner of the title The most beautiful willage of Europe. It happened just last week that the renovated boat station and its surroundings in the picturesq Tihany were inagurated. The total cost they spent was 350 million Hungarian Forint (1.2 Million Euro). In this context, the bike path has been built from the ferry station to the pier, which cost 150 million Forints (500 thousand Euro). The development of the small town at Lake Balaton had not been noticed only by Hungarians: Tihany was honoured in July this year with the European village renewal award in Munich. 29 European settlements have applied, and Tihany in Hungary won. Before this, Hungary has never received any such award. We are so proud… :)
