NEWSFLASH!!! Just learned that Northern Arizona State University had a teacher who allowed an individual to come into the classroom, had all the students fill out a paper with their NAU address and sign it without explaining that they were filling out a change of address for their voter registration. This was a mandatory exercise! My daughters voter registration was changed without her knowledge. She came home this weekend to vote with her mail-in ballot received at our home address which we just learned will not be counted for my race as she has been deactivated by Maricopa County Recorders Office due to the newly submitted paperwork after October 9th. I have another daughter who goes to University of Arizona in Tucson and she did not have this situation. Our students permanent addresses are their homes not the dorms, for all purposes, taxes, voting, etc. No one has the right, especially a teacher to change that information. Just an FYI to parents!
