NFL should subsidise and create a new minor league football leagues. Eliminate college scholarships, let the athletes go directly to minor league football right out of high school, sign a contract, get paid for your services and have as your goal trying to advance to the NFL. Quit charading 80% of so called NCAA student athletes as students. Some are legit, but the majority are not. Now without college scholarships, and shady recruiting techniques and broken promises, students are free to go to any college, walk on and try to make the team. The beauty of this, will be the eventual parody that would become the NCAA. No more dominant schools, Slippery Rock might end up as national champ. I think the fans would still come, TV would still cover and people would still watch and alumni would still be alumni. Meanwhile, the Athletes no longer have to eat noodles 3 times a day... I love college football, BUT I despise the NCAA for not taking care of its athletes..
