NICCA is asking for your assistance. In February, NICCA Board Chairperson, testified before the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs to present on Tribal Child Care - CCDBG Reauthorization issues, then we asked all the Tribes to call their Senators to tell your stories of tribal child care in March, the Senate passed the bipartisan bill 96 to 2 in favor, which included new language for tribal set aside. Together, we made our voices heard! Last week, NICCA met with staff on the House side, who are working on their version of the CCDBG, they have requested information on Tribal Child Care from NICCA, however, that also means we need your help in the next couple of weeks...... We are going to be sending out a Take Action request, to contact YOUR HOUSE REPRESENTATIVES to share your stories of Tribal Child Care. Watch your emails.
