NIGERIA TODAY... Almost 2weeks now since the infamous Fuel Scarcity began in Nigerian major cities, non of Doyin Okupe, Ahmed Gulak, Reuben Abati, Labaran Maku or even GEJ himself has come out to issue any statement as regarding the cause of the scarcity and as well, when the problem is likely to be resolved. Let any opposition party(ies) come out making reference to the issue, then all of them will combine forces in defense... Claiming to be on top of the situation and accusing the opposition(s) of cheap blackmail. To me, we Nigerians are our own problem. How passive and permissive have we continue to be? About half-a-thousand Nigerians have lost their lives within the last 6weeks and the best GEJ could do (and still doing) is to continue going around soliciting for support of traditional rulers, wastefully utilizing the Nigerian Tax Payers hard-earned money. Many have suggested voting of GEJ and his league of Cabals out come 2015, but to me, with the present political situation in the country, I think that is an effort not robust enough in moving this our dear country, Nigeria forward. His recent frequent traditional rulers consultation across the country is a foundation for his proposed 2015 election rigging process, where he is most likely going to declare and be declared winning through grassroots acceptance and support by traditional rulers. God forbids that happening because I see such occurence as very likely halting the existing peace of the graveyard we have. Way forward? As a concerned Nigerian who is also interested in the unity, peace and development of this great country, the present situation in Ukraine is a possible solution to the Nigerian bad leadership plague. Rather than waiting for the next election that is most likely going to be largely characterised by rigging and logistics irregularities nationwide, as in the case of the past Anambra gubernatorial election, let us enmass take to the street, insist on not leaving until any non-performing, anti-people and corruption aiding government is brought down. If GEJ likes, let him flee to Russia like the Ukrainian President did. I know a lot will happen after, should this be achieved. But then, the end will justify the means. Let us remember that real freedom isnt given, real freedom is taken. To be totally free, one must resist any and every form of oppression and/or subjugation. -This is a pure personal opinion of the writer, Emmanuel Oluwasegun Ojo, a young Nigerian, Political observer and a strong believer of a future-better-Nigeria.
