[ NO, we’ll never die as a sacrifice for the sins of the world. Yet until we are willing to let the Holy Spirit lay the stripes upon our back, set that thorny crown sharply upon our brow, drive the nails into our hands and at last allow Him to pierce us with the spear of His choosing, and truly come to the end of ourselves, then we will NEVER truly know Him! *Lk.9:23 “And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” Do you see the word ‘daily’? *Gal.2:20 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” A crucified man has no plans! He does not hold to dreams and ambitions of this life, because he knows the futility of it all! He looks eternity straight in the face with no boast of who he is! When He takes it up, he knows there’s no going back. There is no other option. There is no ‘stay of execution’. When you take up your cross, there’s no question, you know full-well where you are headed. Until we have actually GIVEN UP every hope, dream, ambition and goal to Him, then we will NEVER truly KNOW Christ in the way we should! No longer resisting or fighting against it! In such a state of humiliation that we do NOT CARE who sees it. That’s when you know WHO is really on the throne of your heart! THEN when you receive HIS vision, there is nothing, and no one who will shake you from it! ]
