NOORs photographers have documented the war in Iraq since 2003, up until President Obama announced the withdrawal of American troops in 2011. Parliamentary elections began today in an Iraq steeped in its worst unrest since 2008. These elections are the first since the US withdrawal three years ago. Covering Iraq is a substantial collection of features by six NOOR photographers, describing in intimate detail the complexities of the conflict and its lasting consequences, both within the country and beyond. We invite you to peruse the collection, which spans about a decade, and dwell on todays significance in post-war Iraq.
