(3) Norms for recruitment I. Norms for Group ‘C’ recruitment (5 posts) in PB 1 5,200-20,200 Grade pay 2,400/2,800 Educational Qualification: Graduate Sports Achievements - Eligibility Norms: a. Represented the Country in Olympic Games (Senior category ) OR b. Obtained at least 3rd position by representing the Country in the World Cup (Junior/ Senior)/World Championships (Junior/Senior)/Asian Games (Senior) / Commonwealth Games (Senior) except Gold Medal in Asian Games. II. Norms for Group ‘C’ recruitment (16 posts) in PB 1 5,200-20,200 Grade Pay 1,900/2,000 Educational Qualification: Minimum SSC / Matriculate. Sports Achievements - Eligibility Norms: a. Represented the Country in the World Cup (Junior/ Senior), World Championships (Junior/Senior), Asian Games (Senior) & Commonwealth Games (Senior) OR b. Represented the country in the Commonwealth Championship (Junior/Senior)/ Asian Championship/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior)/South Asian Federation (SAF) Games (Senior)/USIC (World Railways) Championship (Senior) and obtained at least 3rd position. OR c. Represented a State or equivalent unit in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships and obtained at least 3” Position OR d. Represented a State in National Games organized under aegis of Indian Olympic Association and obtained at least 3rd position OR e. Represented a University in All India Inter University Championship organized under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities and obtained at least 3” position OR f. Represented in Federation Cup Championships (senior category) and obtained 1st position. III. Norms for Erstwhile Group ‘D’ recruitment (33 posts) in PB-1 5,200-20,200 Grade Pay 1,800/- Educational Qualification: Minimum 10th pass or ITI or equivalent. Sports Achievements - Eligibility Norms: a. Represented the country in the Commonwealth Championship (Junior/Senior)/ Asian Championship /Asia Cup(Junior/Senior)/South Asian Federation (SAF) Games (Senior)/ USIC (World Railways) Championship (Senior) OR b. Represented in Federation Cup Championships (Senior category) and obtained at least 3rd position OR c. Represented a State or equivalent unit in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships OR d. Represented all Units & Districts of the State in the Senior State Championship and obtained at least 3rd position. NOTE (a) In Athletics, medal winning performance in National, Inter State Senior Athletics Championship may also be considered for recruitment against the post having GP 1900/- in PB 5,200-20,200. Ranking in Mixed-Doubles shall not be considered. (c) In hockey, for recruitment against the post having GP 1900/2000 in Pay Band 5200-20200, atleast 2nd position in the international tournaments of four or more nations may also be considered. Participation in these tournaments may be considered for GP 1800 only. (d) In Cricket at National Level, Following sports achievements in 4 Days/One Day Limited Overs/Twenty-20 Overs Men/Women Cricket Championships (except Vizzy Trophy); organized under the aegis of BCCI; may also be considered for recruitment against the posts having Grade Pay 1800 in Pay Band 5200-2,0200 S.No. Details of Championships Category Minimum Sports Achievement for Recruitment in Grade Pay 1,800 (i) All India Inter State Elite & Plate Group Championships Senior/Youth(U-22)/Junior(U-19) Participation in Elite or Plate Group Championships (ii) All India Inter State Championships Senior/Junior(U-19) Participation in any stage (iii) All India Inter Zonal Championships Senior/Junior(U-19) Participation (e) In Golf, for Recruitments against the posts having Grade Pay 1,800 in pay Band 5,200-20,200; sportsperson having I.G.U. ranking up to 100, subject to single handicap i.e. less than 10 (in order of Merit/Amateur Merits Lists) shall also be eligible for recruitment. Only the current Annual All India Ranking shall be considered for these purposes. (f) In Rifle Shooting, for recognized domestic championships, only the individual performance shall be considered for recruitment purpose. All India G.V.Mavlankar Shooting Championship is not a recognized championship for this purpose. (g) In team sports, only sportspersons who have actually played the sport in field, shall only be eligible. Therefore, a sportsperson who represents as member of a team in any recognized sports event/championship but has actually not played in the field, shall not be considered for recruitment against sports quota. (h) All the championship mentioned above shall be conducted under the aegis of recognized international/national/state sports federation and also recognized by Railway Sports Promotion Board. (i) For recruitment of sportspersons on the basis of sports achievements in Junior National Championship, the age group as indicated shall only be considered ; Athletics- Under 20, Basketball- Under 18, Badminton- Under 19, Boxing- Under 16, Football- Under 19 ( B.C.Roy Trophy) , Hockey- Under 21, Powerlifting (Women) Under 23, Table Tennis- Under 17 ( Junior & Youth Championship), Wrestling - Under 20. (4) Age Limit : Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 01.01.2014.
