NOT REQUIRED READING: Those who are wondering about our current employment situation….Last month Perf lost his job. He worked for Marion County Sheriff’s Office as the I.A. Sergeant. He often had to write people up or discipline deputies for things that weren’t done right. One female deputy, who had been written up several times, for things like…oh, coming to work drunk, decided that he was just too mean to her. She filed a complaint with the Sheriff and instead of backing his management (who is not union), decided to cave and entertain her retaliation…she IS union. So instead of supporting his Sergeants, he give into deputy ridiculousness…he is too afraid to face the union. Perf was told he should have been more “sensitive” to her situation….that she had been in trouble so many times that he should have been more careful in his future interactions with her. So now he is unemployed. We have no idea if he will be able to keep his certificate since they listed his offense as “harassment”. They have up to 6 months to decide that.
