NOT YOUR AVERAGE BRAG ALERT. A proud Mom shares: HUGE Brag Alert: I have tears running down my face. Ive always known my child was exceptionally smart, despite never passing the FCAT and struggling in school and even failing 6th grade last year, but I had no idea how smart. Just opened his report card, which also included his standardized test scores. Not only has he missed all As in all classes all year by only 1.97%, but his standardized test scores show every single section of the test to have a score at grade (as in grade you are in school) equivalants from 9.4 to 12.9 except for handwriting. The child who never got higher than an F in math last year has his highest scores in math. All the years of me trying to tell teaches he is not stupid, I feel so justified. All it took was some teachers who believed in him and being in an environment that didnt produce anxiety, including the anxiety of an FCAT. So, so grateful for his new school this year for helping to reach his potential and helping him to see he can be successful despite his learning disabilities (ADHD, Dyspraxia, Sensory Processing issues).
