NOTICE: I just wanted to give a general message to the members. That we have had a few issues with the prize kits in the postage system not reaching the people who won them. ... As I have said in the past, that anything given away in a GB or a trivia night, prior to landing our current sponsors, and the postage for these items, was paid for by my beautiful wife and I, so to try and keep the costs of running these events for our much loved members ? We were shipping everything via the cheapest method avaliable. ..This did not allow for tracking or insurance. ... Now, I dont want to assume that these items have been lost? But I had received a few pms from Robert Bassett, explaining that he had not received his items won, and it had been about 2 months, but low and behold. ..yesterday Robert sent me a pm that he finally got his package, and this doesnt mean that your items will take this long either. ..because I have sent items to the UK and they arrived in about a week! But without the tracking option and insurance? It cannot be guaranteed. But after an administrator meeting, we came up with a alternative. ..If you win an item, you prize is still free, along with basic shipping, and if you would like? We can upgrade your shipment with tracking and/insurance, but the winning members would have to pay for this upgrade! And this would be done via PayPal. So this is the option thatll be offered to you upon winning, and if this is the way you want to go? Then items will be held until the upgrade fees are sent. I appreciate your understanding with this, but we need to figure out how to be sure that these expensive prizes get to you, and not to the floor of some postal sorting facility, or a postal worker, that just happens to be a builder! 😉
