NOW OR NEVER By: Gilbert R. Wagas N209P-3385 It is unavoidable for any prisoner to plan for the future. As a matter of fact, there are simple things that can be done, while, we are inside, but, due to the wrong notion, gi-withhold lang una ang pagbuhat sa angay nga pagabuhaton. I realized that what can be done today, let me do it NOW. What, I am doing today, matters the future. Precisely, I have programmed myself inside NBP, Maximum Security Compound. Aside from doing regular PUBLIC SERVICE, under the Office of Chairman Herbert R. Colanggo, I am pushing for the release of almost 2,000 inmates (prisoners) under the OLD LAW (Act 3815) and the full implementation of R.A. 10592 whose primary aim is to decongest the Philipppine Jails – BJMP and BUCOR. Although, some of my co-prisoners filed CERTIORARI before the Supreme Court, I focused my efforts sa DAPAT NG PALAYAIN na mga Bilanggo, under Act 3815 (OLD LAW). Sa totoo lang, we petitioned PresidentPNOY, last August 14, 2014, seven days before the death Anniversary of his murdered father Ninoy, who was also a prisoner – seven years and a half in Fort Bonifacio and Laur, Nueva Ecija. We got positive response from the Office of the President. Anytime, we will be sending theMASTER LISTS of OVERSTAYING inmates and uncommuted sentences to Pres. PNOY. Now or NEVER!
