NSportz organised its maiden Corporate Table Tennis Competition on March 1st & 2nd at Khar Gymkhana. The tournament was conceived and planned over three months starting mid November. Around 200 corporates were invited in the short span and the response was tremendous as 24 corporates were represented by 120 employees over the two days. Khar Gym was abuzz with a lot of table tennis activity over the two days as the employees participated in seven categories - open singles, open doubles, women singles, women doubles, veteran singles, mixed doubles and team event. The level of competition was intense and much higher than anticipated as mentioned by none other than Mr. Kamlesh Mehta, Chairman of MSDTTA (Mumbai Suburban District Table Tennis Association) & eight time national champion who was the Special Guest of Honour at the event. The Chief Guest for the event was Mr. Joydeep Roy Founder, Chief Executive & Full Time Director at L&T General Insurance Company Ltd who also sportingly participated in the tournament across multiple eligible categories. After an intense couple of days, there were many winners across the categories (refer website nsportz for photos & winners list). While HDFC Bank came out tops in the open singles & team events, Deloitte Consulting was at the helm in the ladies events & mixed doubles. Open Doubles was won by JP Morgan whereas the veterans category was won by Kotak Mahindra Bank. Almost all participants had an excellent time and were more than satisfied with the arrangements & facilities provided and the conduct of the matches as could be seen in their feedback forms. 100 % of the participants who gave feedback were very keen to participate in the future events of NSportz. NSportz and its founder Nozer Amalsadiwala thanks all its participants, HR representatives who facilitated the participation of their employees , MSDTTA for allowing conduct of the tournament under is auspices, the team of referees who did a commendable job, Khar Gymkhana for allotting its premises, banner sponsors Baima Flora and last but not least its vibrant organising committee and volunteers for making it a memorable two days for all concerned.
