NYS DEC announces Hunter Education Class with ASL Signers The NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, Sportsman Education Program announces a Hunter Education class that we are offering that will have an ASL interpreter present. Hunter Education is required for anyone who want to hunt for the first time. These classes are available to anyone 11 yrs old and older (one must be 12 to hunt in NY) The class will be given at the Victor Rod & Gun Club on Oct 7, 8 and 11 We have a limited number of seats in reserve (until 9/27 ) for those with hearing disabilities. After the 27th, any remaining open seats will be made available to the public To pre-register for this class, students should contact myself (email, or 585-226-5457) or Rhonda (585-226-5463) (Students will also be able to register on line at register-ed/events/view/37762 However, we would like to know who/how many student need the signer, so request they register through us.) Anything you can do to share them with anyone who might benefit would be greatly appreciated. Given the late date, this class will fill up FAST. If you want to attend this, you should register ASAP.
