He had heard of the prophet Elisha’s ability to heal, and being the man that he was, Naaman expected the royal treatment. He was told by a messenger to wash in a common river instead. Naaman didn’t know it, but his real problem was pride, yet as he humbled himself to obey the command he was healed. Many times our pride is looking for great exploits when God wants to use the common things in front of us to renew our soul.
