************************************************************************* Green City? Mr. President, I do not have something against you or the way you run the administration and the country as well.I even voted for you. Given the fact that you are my kababayan. But this time, I am way too disappointed about this green city thing that you brought up during your SONA. You mentione dthat it will be the center of commerce and industry within Central Luzon, people even applaud upon hearing those lines. You also mention Mr. President that ang dating liblib, magiging hitik sa oportunidad Yeah? Opportunities will surely open. These so called opportunities are only for those people who will oh, no, who has in my own opinion will gain so much profit from this project. However, Mr.President, did you ever gave even a bit of your thought for the people who have been residing at those locations that will be surely hit by the Green city thing? Is it really gonna be green city? Ever imagine the pain that our ancestors would have. When I saw my grandparents a while back, I almost felt like my knee is shaking, seeing them with their wrinkled skin and grayed out hair, imagining the years or lets say almost a century that they have been plowing, gardening and loving their land. Thousand gallons of their sweat have been poured on this old and quiet land. My lolo, bringing his palang at pala was wearing his boots and on his way to check his farm, as he carry his tools in gardening I can see the weight doubled, no. It tripled. Knowing the fact that in one blink, the land that they cultivated and cherished will be soon taken away from them. My lola, sharing her stories about her Kalabasa at the backyard, hearing her laugh bitterly with her joke about picking the fruit of the plat, makes me feel so weak. These two old people that I have, are just a decimal percent of the people that will be affected by this project. Relocating them does not mean giving them a new life, or giving them a new life, does not and will never mean giving back their lives. These people were the witnesses on how the development of this land happened way too long ago, from a piece of a bushy scrap of land, they made the most out of it, and now that it has turned into a paradise for these old folks, they will then turn it into something different, something that will benefit their pockets and eyes, but will absolutely melt the hearts of the people that will be affected by this. :-( #JustSaying!
