Name: Esther_________ Message: We cruise a lot are platinum with Carnival plus Diamond with RCCL. We are just back from the Freedom. There were early morning announcements as early as 7am in Grand Turk and Curacao telling passengers where the exit gangway to land was and do not forget your sun cream blah blah blah. Why did she need to do this ?? What idiot does not know how to get off the dam boat just follow the signs or read the flyers in your cabin. These early morning announcement’s need to stop because they are so loud in the hallways it woke us up. Then on three occasions I called room service top pick up the tray and plates we had finished with and each time it took 40 minutes of more for them to come and once they never came at all. We do not like to put the plates on the floor outside and do not like to have them clutter our cabin. These are points that Carnival should attend to Thanks Esther. Now on Esther’s first point there are some ports where we need to mention about safety ashore and I believe it may have been the use of mosquito replant possibly that the CD was referring to in the announcement. There are some guests who actually do not know where the gangway is and appreciate being told that the ship and local authorities are ready for guests to go ashore. So, my question to you is, do early morning announcements like this concern you, do you need them and do you appreciate them? Heck, do you even listen to them? Let me know please. As for the room service, well I wanted to apologise to Esther because someone should have come to pick it up if requested but I wanted to let you know that we would rather you not call as actually we have other staff whose responsibility it is to collect room service trays and plates left in the corridor. This allows the servers to continue serving the complimentary room service. You do put your trays outside the cabin door right? You don’t call for pick up……do you ? Cheers
