Namegate is still ongoing. For those who have missed it, my first - TopicsExpress

Namegate is still ongoing. For those who have missed it, my first 2 given names are John Wallace and I deliberately left my surname out for 2 valid reasons. 1) Unlike others, I seek no limelight, nor press, nor media attention for anything I write. I want no credit whatsoever. More importantly though 2) I don’t want my family involved in anything. Ive witnessed some horrific stuff written on social media over this mess of ours and my family comes first in my life(sorry to any fellow Bears who think I have my priorities mixed up) The minute any of them become involved at all, this page is shut down. I now stand accused of not telling the truth and have been advised I will be banned from commenting on Sons of Struth page unless I tell the truth and disclose my surname. For me, not telling the truth, or lying, is when someone deliberately misleads someone by giving them information known to be untrue. Not disclosing your surname to someone is NOT in any-mans language lying, or “not telling the truth” When someone fails to tell the truth about shareholdings, money being spent, people stealing, funds going missing, investors being paid back, ticketus still owning us, statements on LSE etc in a large business that affects hundreds of thousands of people, then I believe we ALL have a duty to call that out and point out the facts. When one lone voice, a football supporter, only puts his first 2 names on the internet, somehow I don’t think finding out his surname is the most important of issues. And it is certainly not lying. You could be forgiven for thinking this is a massive deflection tactic. An open debate has been offered given SOS a chance to think on their feet and answer some of the many questions thousands of online fans have that stop them from backing them. It is actually a chance to turn the 6,000 supporters into 10,000 or 15,000. It’s a chance to get all the stuff out in the open that’s going on in a sensible, positive and constructive manner. Apparently though, there is a bigger issue at play here. What is John Wallace’s surname and who was his Rangers supporting pal that took 10 minutes out of his life to set up his facebook page? Ive now been accused of being Bill McMurdo, Jack Irvine, The new PR team from down south, some random guy on the internet and an employee of Laxey. Unfortunately, im just a plain old Rangers fan with no links, connections, dialogue, communication or the first clue even how to reach any of the above. PS - I see yet more questions about “What are you doing to save our club?”, well for me, this is what im doing to save it. This is where im comfortable. In the background, helping where I can. Whats to be scared about talking openly on the internet ? I thought SOS were actively looking for dialogue with others. PPS – As a footnote, I have sent my friend what I deemed as threats and a form of blackmail and he pretty much laughed them off. He is away the weekend with his family but said he will have a look at it tomorrow, though his words to me were “don’t be silly” It appears as though I may have been taken in and the people who are “on to me” may actually be pulling my leg by saying they could check all “my” history through an open back-door in Facebook. If that’s the case then shame on me for falling for it, but a bigger shame on them for using that tactic in an attempt to silence me.
