Namibians must stop celebrating mediocrity. A 54 percent Grade 10 - TopicsExpress

Namibians must stop celebrating mediocrity. A 54 percent Grade 10 pass rate means 46 percent of the learners are headed for the street or these mickey mouse colleges. Even Namcol cannot accommodate troops of that magnitude. The ultimate outcome is more men on street corners, increased urbanisation which will push up the demand for accommodation in towns, and hence high rental and housing prices. And when the genuine search for jobs fails, some turn to the bottle to drown their sorrows. Some become criminals - rapists, murderers, burglars etc.
