Namumyohorengekyo! Appeal for International March for Peace and Solidarity in Ukraine Peace, Unity, Truth and Freedom Ukraine is at the crossroads. As it turned out, this battle for truth and freedom is crucial not only for true democracy and perspectives of this country, but also for the future of mankind. There is a threat of a full scale war between Russia and Ukraine. Russian military invasion of the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea is a flagrant act of military aggression. Moreover, Russian authorities organize all sorts of provocations and fuel unrest in other regions of Ukraine. Ukraine today embodies the light and hope for the future of non-violent and truly democratic world. Protesters on Maidan square inspired the entire world by their spontaneous demonstration of heroic solidarity, compassion, brotherhood and sacrifice – spiritual qualities sought by all religions. Maidan embodies this heroic ideal and spirit preserved in the depths of peoples hearts since the Scythian times and praised by Ukrainian writers and poets. We call on public and religious leaders of Ukraine and the world, as well as civil society activists, to organize and walk in this International March for Peace and Solidarity Peace, Unity, Truth and Freedom, and by the power of our spirit, prayer and solidarity to protect the new free Ukraine. We invite all organizations, communities, religious leaders and activists to form the Initiative Group and Working Team of this Peace March. We need every kind of support and participation of civil society and government agencies. Initiator - Ven. Junsei Terasawa, Buddhist monk and teacher, Nippondzan Myohoji Buddhist Order in Ukraine, Russia and Central Asia.
