Nancy Ellen Salmons Thompson, 91, went to be with her Lord on Monday, August 26, 2013. Born in Egypt, AR to James Looney and Annie Bell McGilvary Salmons, she was a homemaker and a member of Morrilton First Assembly of God and a former member of Pathway Church of God in Blytheville, AR. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Augustus Thompson; son, Carl David Thompson; 1 granddaughter; 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Mrs. Thompson is survived by her children, Robert W. Thompson (Louise) of Westfield, MA, Troy Thompson (Jan) of Blytheville, AR, David Thompson (Cathy) of Kirksey, KY, Mary Velazquez (Robert) of Morrilton, AR, Betty Brown (Vic) of Plumerville, AR, Faye May (Ellery) of Beebe, AR and Kay Thompson (Stan) of Jackson, MO; sister, Connie Martin of Bryant, AR; 18 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 10:30 am in Harris Funeral Home Chapel, Morrilton, AR with Pastor Joe Alzate officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 28, 2013 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be Friday, August 30, 2013 at 11:00 am in Dogwood Cemetery, Blytheville, AR with Cobb Funeral Home assisting. Memorial donations may be made to Morrilton First Assembly of God Church, Morrilton, AR. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton, AR and Cobb Funeral Home, Blytheville, AR.
