Some residents want their meters, protesters are usually from other estates other areas. Get ur info correct before you go spouting and calling people dummies. Do you honestly think if a person works for a sub contractor and that sub contractors next job is irish water that these men should walk away. If they do they get no social welfare as they have walked out of a paying job. Of course they will show safe passes , digger tickets etc to residents, but not to every tom dick and harry. Inform yourself properly before you turn on our own Donegal men, keeping their families, paying tax, medical bills and every other charge. Trying to bring up young families with a bit of dignity. Sub contractors employinh local school leavers, training them in utilities and giving them a trade, keeping young men from emmigrating and families if not in the same county at least in the same country. Believe me theres no big money but its a job. Protest all you like, its your right, but refrain from insulting families and men trying their best including mine by derogatory and uncalled for belittlement in name calling.
