Narcissists love to hide what they do and will pull aside friends and family to confide secrets, usually about you with high hopes to create division or doubts. At the kids school they will sit down with teachers and hint at the difficulties you have with the children and homework/disciplining/behavior or schedule appointments with the principle or counselors to highlight the many concerns they have...perhaps sharing court room documents taken out of context or cherry picked for effect. They will if given a chance try to drag your employer into the fray too and cause problems with your job or ethics. Neighbors will know your business in no time at all. Whether real, distortions or a complete work of fiction. Much of this happens for sometime before you ever catch wind of it. They feel so clever in tearing you down socially....they have gotten away with it countless times before. And they are confident it will be that way again.
