Narration নিয়ে কিছু কথা…… মনযোগ দিয়ে পড়ুন★★★ Narration এ ৬ টি জিনিস জানতে হয়। i) Reporting Verb (RV) ii) Inverted Comma (IC) iii) Reported Verb iv) Reported Person v) Reported time / place vi) Reported Speech (RS) উদাহারণ সরূপঃ He said to me, “I saw you here yesterday” এখানে I, you হচ্ছে Reported person, Said হচ্ছে Reporting verb (RV) Saw হচ্ছে Reported verb, Here হচ্ছে Reported place Yesterday হচ্ছে Reported time ** মুখস্ত করতে হবেঃ Reported Speech (RS) এর পরিবর্তনঃ Reported Speech এর First Person Reporting Verb এর Subject অনুসারে বসবে Reported Speech এর Second Person Reporting Verb এর object অনুসারে বসবে Reported Speech এর Third Person থাকলে তা অপরিবর্তিত থাকবে। Reporting Verb এর পরিবর্তনঃ Reporting Verb যদি past tense হয় তাহলে Reported Verb এর পরিবর্তন ও নিম্নরূপ হবেঃ i) Present Indefinite – Past Indefinite ii) Present Continuous – Past Continuous iii) Present Perfect – Past Perfect iv) Past Indefinite – Past Perfect v) Past Continuous – Past Perfect Continuous vi) Shall/Will – Would vii) Can – Could viii) May – Might ix) Have/Has – Had Reported Time / Place এর পরিবর্তনঃ Reporting Verb যদি Past Tense এ হয় তাহলে Reported Time / Place এর পরিবর্তন হয় ! Now- Then, Thus – So, Ago – Before, This – That, Today – That day, Tomorrow – The next day, Yesterday – The previous day, This time – That time ** This এর পর Noun থাকলে The + Noun হবে যেমনঃ This golden Key – The golden key. আর যদি This এর পর Verb হয় তাহলে It + Verb হবে যেমনঃ This is – It was. নিয়মঃ - ১ Reporting Speech যদি Assertive হয় তাহলে Reporting verb হবে সূত্রঃ Sub + said/told + object + that + RS এর subject + RS এর verb + RS এর বাকী অংশ Example: He said to me. “I saw you here yesterday”. He told me that he had seen me there the previous day. I Said, “He will help you do this work”. I said that he would help you do the work. নিয়মঃ - ২ Reporting Speech যদি Interrogative without WH’s হয় সূত্রঃ Sub + asked + if/whether + RS এর Subject + RS এর Verb + RS এর বাকী অংশ Example: She said to me. “Will you help me do this work”? She asked me if I would help her do the work. Note: RS এর Should/Would/Could/Ought/ Used to/had to থাকলে Indirect করার সময় এদের পরিবর্তন করতে হবে না। নিয়মঃ - ৩ Reporting Speech যদি Interrogative with WH’s হয় সূত্রঃ Sub + asked + object + WH + RS এর Subject + RS এর Verb + RS এর বাকী অংশ Example: The man said to me, “Who are you and what do you want”? The man asked me who I was and what I wanted. ** Reporting Speech এ Subject এর পরিচিত হলে Indirect এ object হবে। I said, “What are you doing here Farzana?” I asked Farzana what she was doing there. নিয়মঃ – ৪ Reporting Speech যদি Imperative Sentence এ হয় RS দ্বারা আদেশ বোঝালে Order, উপদেশ বোঝালে Advice, অনুরোধ বোঝালে Request এবং নিষেধ বোঝালে Forbid বসে। Forbid এর পর not বসে না এবং to এর পর verb বসে। সূত্রঃ Sub + order / advise / request / forbid + object + to + RS এর মূল verb + বাকি অংশ Example: Mother said to her son, “Do not mix with bad boys” Mother forbade her son to mix with bad boys. I said to him, “Wait till I come in” I told him to wait till I come in. নিয়মঃ - ৫ Reporting Speech এর শুরুতে “Let us” থাকলে সূত্রঃ Sub + Proposed / Suggested + to + object + that + we / they should (let us এর পরিবর্তে ) + RS এর মূল verb + বাকী অংশ ** Object- me থাকলে We should এবং me না থাকলে they হবে He said to me, “Let us have a drink” He proposed to me that we should have a drink. The teachers said to the students, “Let us arrange a picnic” The teacher suggested to the students that they should arrange a picnic. ** RS এর শুরুতে Let us এর পরিবর্তে Let me. Let him, Let them, Let her থাকলে সূত্রঃ Sub + requested + object + that + RS এর Sub + (Let এর সাথের object sub রুপে ) + might (Let এর পরিবর্তে )+ RS এর মূল verb + বাকি অংশ। Example: I said to her, “Let him explain the matter” I requested her that he might explain the matter. নিয়মঃ - ৬ Optative sentence এর ক্ষেত্রে Reporting Speech যদি Optative sentence এ হয় তাহলে সূত্রঃ Sub + Wished / prayed + that + RS এর Sub + might + RS এর মূল verb + বাকি অংশ Example: He said, “Long live the President” He wished that the president might live long. নিয়মঃ – ৭ Exclamatory Sentence এর ক্ষেত্রে সূত্রঃ Sub + exclaimed + that + RS এর Sub + RS এর verb + a/an + very / great + adj + adv + noun ** How এর পরিবর্তে very বসে What এর পরে Adj থাকলে What = very বসে What এর পরে Adj না থাকলে What = great বসে He said, “How foolish she is!” He exclaimed that she was very foolish. I said, “What a nice weather it is!” I exclaimed that it was a very nice weather. She said, “What a pity!” She exclaimed that it was a great pity. নিয়মঃ – ৮ যদি Present Tense কিংবা Future Tense এ হয় তাহলে RS এর Person ছাড়া অন্য কোনও কিছু পরিবর্তন হবে না। Example: He says, “I am ill now” He says that he is ill now. He will say, “I have done this” He will say that he has done this. ** RS এর শুরুতে would / could থাকলে এবং এদের দ্বারা অনুরোধ বোঝালে নিচের সূত্রানুসারে পরিবর্তি হবে। সূত্রঃ Sub + asked + object + to + RS এর মূল verb + বাকি অংশ Example: He said to me, “Could you give me a glass of water.” He asked me to give him a glass of water. /He requested me to give him a glass of water. ----( collected)
