Nates midweek pondering... For Lent this year (the season leading up to Easter), one of the things I chose to do was to begin every day writing down 3 things that Im grateful for. Its been a good way to recalibrate and refocus as I get up and going. I was even more encouraged about that on Sunday when Bruxy talked about the difference between grumbling (because we have such a sense of entitlement - I cant believe I have to wait 2 more minutes for the subway!!) and gratitude. When we stop and reflect, it is extraordinary how much time we spend complaining about things that really arent that important and how little time we spend being grateful for how much we already have. Think back over this week - how much time have you spent focusing on what you dont have or how much things arent going your way? How intentional have you been about being grateful? What could you do for the rest of this week to change some of those perspectives? ~ Nate
