National Forecast from Met Éireann. 02 September 2013 05:22 Today Headline: A very mild, blustery day and mainly dry. Many areas cloudy this morning with patches of mist and drizzle but sunny spells developing more generally through the day. Very mild with highest temperatures 17 to 22 degrees in moderate to fresh southwesterly winds, strong in places. Tonight Mild and blustery tonight and dry apart from patchy drizzle and fog. Lowest temperatures 10 to 14 degrees. Tomorrow Tuesday: Some patchy drizzle but mainly dry with some warm sunny spells breaking through. Highest temperatures 17 to 22 degrees in moderate to fresh southerly winds. Outlook After a very mild or even warm start to the week it will be turning cooler and fresher later. Wednesday: Very mild and humid. Dry with sunny spells in the east and southeast. Elsewhere cloudy after a bright start with a band of rain (from a cold front) gradually extending eastwards from the Atlantic. Highest temperatures 17 to 21 degrees in moderate to fresh southerly winds. The band of rain will become light as it clears Ireland Wednesday night but will introduce much cooler weather. Thursday & Friday: Much cooler and fresher days with highest temperatures just 14 to 17 degrees. There will be sunny spells everywhere and it will be dry apart from some well scattered showers. Good drying in the moderate to fresh west to northwest wind veering northerly. Cool nights with air temperatures falling to between 3 and 7 degrees. Weekend: Fresh and mainly dry on Saturday with sunny spells. On Sunday there is a risk of rain spreading in from the east but the forecast is very uncertain at this stage.
